France, Germany, Italy request EU sanctions on Palestinian Resistance
Netanyahu accuses Western leaders of inconsistency by claiming they want Hamas eliminated but still pressure "Israel" into a ceasefire.
In a joint letter addressed to the European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, foreign ministers from Italy, France, and Germany are urging the EU to establish an ad hoc sanctions regime targeting Hamas and its supporters.
The letter, obtained by Reuters, highlights the proposed sanctions by the three foreign ministers.
“We express our full support for the proposal to create an ad hoc sanctions regime against Hamas and its supporters,” the letter read.
"The swift adoption of this sanctions regime will enable us to send a strong political message about the EU’s commitment against Hamas and our solidarity with Israel."

Israeli Occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu weighed in on the matter during a cabinet briefing yesterday. Netanyahu expressed criticism of Western leaders, accusing them of inconsistency regarding their support of the objective of the Israeli war.
Addressing his cabinet, Netanyahu revealed that he had communicated his concerns to the leaders of France, Germany, and other nations, stating, "You cannot on the one hand support the elimination of Hamas, and on the other pressure us to end the war, which would prevent the elimination of Hamas."
Earlier this week, it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron had urged Netanyahu to open a major crossing to deliver much-needed aid into the Gaza Strip.
In a telephone conversation between the two, Macron also spoke of "the need to protect civilians in Gaza and stressed the importance of achieving a lasting ceasefire,"
Yesterday, during a call with Vladimir Putin, the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister communicated his dissatisfaction with the stance of Russian representatives at the UN and other international forums regarding issues related to the war in Palestine.
