From deliberate killings to starvation, 'Israel' bombing bakeries now
Targeting bakeries has heightened fears of an impending humanitarian catastrophe and an unfolding real-time genocide in Gaza.
In yet another alarming development that has raised concerns on an international scale, Israeli occupation forces have reportedly extended their focus beyond bombing crowded residential buildings UN schools, and hospitals to include bakeries. This expansion in targeting has heightened fears of an impending humanitarian catastrophe and an unfolding real-time genocide.
This comes as Israeli occupation forces bombed the vicinity of al-Yajzi bakery that provided thousands of Palestinians in Gaza with bread, killing at least 20 and injuring dozens.

With Israel destroying Tal Al-Hawa’s Yazji Bakery, Gaza’s second biggest bakery, we had to queue for FIVE HOURS to buy $2.5 worth of bread for more than 15 kids. https://t.co/75DHEDload pic.twitter.com/3OaPR2Tr9u

On Wednesday night, the World Food Programme (WFP) reported that one of the bakeries it works with in Gaza was struck during overnight attacks, stressing that this particular bakery was providing bread to families who had been displaced and were seeking refuge in shelters.

Of the 23 bakeries we work with, only 4 are operational today as most have run out of fuel.

"Of the 23 bakeries we work with, only 4 are operational today as most have run out of fuel," Cindy McCain, WFP's executive director, said on X.
Supplies of food, water, fuel, and electricity are rapidly depleting in Gaza, following a total blockade imposed by "Israel" last week. It is worth noting that the dire situation has pushed over 2 million residents into a severe humanitarian crisis amid non-stop hysteric airstrikes.
Meanwhile, the World Food Programme (WFP) announced today that it has 951 tons of emergency food provisions ready for deployment, pending approval for entry from Egypt, which is just a few miles from the Gaza border.
The deliberate targeting of bakeries is particularly concerning, as these facilities play a vital role in providing food for the civilian population, including bread, which is a staple in the Palestinian diet. These attacks not only disrupt the flow of essential supplies but also put innocent lives at risk. Without access to bakeries, the availability of food and sustenance for countless Gazans is compromised.
