Gallant lying about Hezbollah, abandoning settlers in north
Editor at the Besheva Israeli newspaper criticizes reports from Israeli security agencies alleging "severe punishment of Hezbollah."
Editor at the Besheva Israeli newspaper, Yoni Rotenberg, suggested that Israeli occupation Security Minister Yoav Gallant abandoned Israeli settlers in northern occupied Palestine amid the military operations carried out by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, which forced "Israel" to evacuate settlements near the borders.
Rotenberg criticized the routine fighting at the border with Lebanon and reports from Israeli security agencies alleging "severe punishment of Hezbollah" after targeting Israeli military bases and northern settlements.
He also pointed out that Gallant "is lying" and would be abandoning settlers of northern occupied Palestine if he intends to return them there.
A couple of days ago, the head of the "Alma" settlement committee in the occupied Upper al-Jalil, Orly Gerbi, said that "life has become a nightmare" in northern settlements due to the Israeli army shelling, sirens, and missile launches.
Gerbi directed her criticism at the Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government, asking, "Why is everyone evacuated around us and we are left behind?"
The head of the "Mateh Asher" Regional Council and chairman of the Confrontation Line Forum in northern occupied Palestine, Moshe Davidovich, stated that 70,000 settlers, dispersed throughout the occupied territories, are awaiting clear responses from the entity regarding their potential return to settlements along the Lebanese border.
The heightened uncertainty is owed to the military operations that were conducted by Hezbollah along the border in the past month.
In an interview for the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Davidovich said that as long as Hezbollah remains in the north, it is unlikely for settlers to return to the area. He also rejected the idea of settlements potentially turning into military zones.
