Gallant says future of 'Israel' depends on outcome of war on Gaza
Israeli Security Minister Gallant claimed that what he called "the intensive phase of the ground invasion" has ended.
In a press conference, Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant said that "Israel's" future depends on the results of the war on Gaza, warning that any hesitation will harm the conduct of the ongoing operation.
Gallant affirmed that eliminating the Hamas resistance movement would take a long time, and reiterated that the Israeli position is to refuse a ceasefire: explaining that a ceasefire would be "useless" because the Israeli captives would remain in "Hamas' custody for years to come."
Gallant said that only military pressure would achieve the Israeli goals of the war on Gaza and claimed that what he called the "intensive phase of the ground invasion" has ended and will "soon end" in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip as well.
Touching on the division within the Israeli cabinet regarding the ongoing war, Gallant addressed the Israeli prime ministers, Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz, calling for "a time of unity" to achieve the goals of the war, warning that any hesitation would hinder the results of the war.
Gallant also called the stabbing operation that took place in "Ra'anana" "Tel Aviv" on Monday "cruel and painful."
Israeli media admitted that in a stabbing-vehicle ramming double operation in different areas in the "Ra'anana" settlement, northeast of "Tel Aviv", one settler was killed, and more than 20 were injured. Three of said injuries were critical.
Israeli media said the double attack was carried out by one person, who first carried out a stabbing, then took over 3 cars and began a successive ramming operation. He was subsequently detained by the Israeli occupation forces.
The man who carried out the operation was identified as a 44-year-old man from the village of Bani Naim, east of al-Khalil, in the south of the occupied West Bank.
"Israel" is mired in failure and is stuck in "a deep hole" it has dug in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Sunday.
The enemy, according to Sayyed Nasrallah, is still fighting to achieve some sort of "achievement" before moving to the third phase of the war in which it will reposition its deployed forces.
Regarding resistance operations in the West Bank, Gallant accused Hamas of igniting unrest against the IOF.
Three Palestinians were martyred on Sunday, including one child, after being shot by Israeli occupation forces amid the ongoing brutal aggression campaign on the occupied West Bank.
‘We are fighting an axis, not a single enemy’: Gallant
Last week, The Wall Street Journal quoted Monday the Israeli Minister of Security in the Israeli occupation government, Yoav Gallant, saying that his point of view is that "Israel is fighting an axis, not a single enemy."
Gallant added that Iran is "building its military power to use it against Israel."
The Minister of Security in the Israeli government stated that his immediate source of concern is the "northern border," emphasizing that the current priority is "not to engage in a war with Hezbollah."
Gallant emphasized that the safe return of 80,000 settlers to their homes must be ensured, pointing out that if an agreement is not negotiated to make this possible, "Israel will not back down from military action."
His statement comes amid the ongoing operations by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon against occupation positions, soldiers, and settlements in northern occupied Palestine.
