The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza continues to escalate as the Israeli genocide shows no signs of abating.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, 79 Palestinians were martyred in 24 hours, including five bodies retrieved from beneath the rubble, and 391 others were injured. These numbers come amid relentless Israeli attacks that have left many more victims trapped under debris or lying lifeless in the streets, inaccessible to rescue and medical teams due to the ongoing bombardment.
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, Gaza has endured one of the deadliest and most prolonged military campaigns in recent history. The total death toll has now climbed to 56,156 martyrs, with 132,239 injured, a staggering reflection of the scale of destruction and suffering inflicted on the population.
Since March 18, 2025, the Ministry reported 5,833 martyrs and 20,198 wounded, a clear indication of the intensified aggression in recent weeks.
The death toll among Palestinians killed while seeking food aid in designated distribution zones has now climbed to 549, with more than 4,066 others wounded, according to the report.
Israeli genocide in Gaza ongoing
Israeli occupation forces launched a series of deadly attacks across the Gaza Strip early Wednesday. According to local reports, Israeli occupation forces targeted a gathering of Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Wadi Gaza area in central Gaza. The strike killed eight people on the spot.
Eyewitnesses from the Netzarim corridor in southwestern Gaza City, quoted by Palestinian media, described a harrowing scene in which Israeli forces reportedly executed dozens of young men awaiting aid and dumped their bodies into a well, preventing their retrieval.
Further south, six Palestinians were killed and 17 others injured after an Israeli bomb struck a house in the northern part of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
In Deir al-Balah, another strike on a residential home killed five people.

In eastern Gaza City, five more Palestinians were martyred when Israeli occupation forces targeted a building sheltering displaced civilians in the eastern al-Zaytoun neighborhood. Several others were wounded or remain missing amid heavy artillery shelling.
Meanwhile, residents in al-Shujaiya reported injuries following an Israeli strike on a home in the area. Israeli warplanes also bombed the areas surrounding Souq al-Juma', al-Mantar Street, and al-Mansoura.

In northern Gaza, three people were killed and others wounded in Israeli attacks on two homes in Jabalia. The town itself came under intense artillery bombardment.
In the south, Israeli forces carried out demolition operations in residential areas northeast of Khan Younis, while airstrikes hit al-Mawasi in the west. Artillery shelling was also reported in Batin al-Samin and cemetery areas in southern Khan Younis.
The ongoing Israeli bombardment continues to devastate Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, as international calls for a lasting ceasefire remain unmet.
