Grief hangs heavy over Gaza as the death toll continues to rise and devastation mounts. In just 24 hours, 39 Palestinians were killed and 317 more were injured, in ceaseless Israeli bombardment that shows no signs of restraint or reprieve.
One of the martyrs was retrieved from beneath the rubble, just one among many still trapped under collapsed buildings and scattered in the streets, unreachable by overwhelmed ambulance and civil defense crews due to the ongoing shelling.
The cumulative death toll of the Israeli genocide, which began on October 7, 2023, has now reached an unimaginable 55,998 martyrs and 131,559 injured. Since March 18 alone, 5,685 people have been killed and 19,518 wounded, a devastating surge in aggression that continues to shatter lives across the Gaza Strip.
Infants, children, and mothers pay heaviest price
Among the victims are the most innocent: 17,121 children, ranging in age from 17 years to newborns who were martyred before living even a full day, as of June 15, 2025, according to Gaza's Government Media Office.

Mothers, too, are falling in horrific numbers. A total of 9,126 women have been killed since the start of the aggression, many of them while shielding their children or seeking refuge in makeshift shelters that have become death traps, according to the office.
Slaughter at aid lines
Tragedy hasn't spared even the desperate and starved. In 24 hours, 17 Palestinians were killed and over 136 others were injured as they waited in queues for humanitarian aid.
This is not a detainment camp in World War II, nor a prison in the Holocaust, this is Gaza. A chilling reminder that history repeats.

These were Palestinian fathers, sisters, and elders, simply seeking food and relief. The total number of aid-related killings now stands at 467 martyrs and over 3,602 injuries.

Bombs rain on displaced families
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that five people were killed and others were wounded in Israeli airstrikes on tents housing displaced families in al-Mawasi, northwest of al-Qarara in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
More martyrs and injuries were confirmed after shelling struck tents near Al-Hidaya Mosque in the same area, targeting people who had already lost everything, as per our correspondent.
Israeli warplanes also bombed an area west of al-Zawaida, in central Gaza.
Concurrently, artillery fire rained down on northern Khan Younis, adding to the growing list of destroyed homes and shattered lives.
