Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have continued to inflict devastating harm on civilians, with the Palestinian Ministry of Health reporting 47 new martyrs and 388 injuries within the past 24 hours. One of the martyrs was recovered from beneath the rubble, underscoring the severity of the destruction across the besieged territory.
Emergency teams remain unable to reach numerous victims trapped under debris or lying in the streets due to continued bombardment and dangerous field conditions. The inability to access those in need is further compounding the already catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
According to the Ministry, the cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, has now reached 54,927 martyrs and 126,615 wounded.
The escalation since March 18, 2025, has added significantly to this toll, with 4,649 martyrs and 14,574 injuries recorded during this period alone.
Aid distribution points targeted
In an alarming development, civilians gathering at aid distribution points have increasingly come under attack. As of this morning, six martyrs and more than 99 injuries were reported among those attempting to access humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of aid distribution casualties in Gaza to 127 martyrs and 1,287 injured.
The targeting of aid seekers has drawn sharp criticism from humanitarian organizations and rights groups, who warn that these attacks violate international law and exacerbate civilian suffering.
Gaza’s already fragile healthcare system is on the brink of collapse, Gaza hospitals are overwhelmed, civilian infrastructure is in ruins, and medical teams are struggling to treat the surge in casualties amid shortages of electricity, equipment, and essential medications.
The international community continues to call for an immediate ceasefire and unfettered humanitarian access. However, conditions on the ground remain perilous, and the civilian population continues to bear the brunt of the ongoing assault.
On that note, the Palestinian Resistance factions reported on Sunday that the "US aid distribution centers" in the Gaza Strip have turned into deadly traps targeting the hungry Palestinian people.
The factions stressed that the real aim behind these so-called "US aid distribution centers" is to dismantle UNRWA, the UN agency supporting Palestinian refugees.
They explained that among the broader objectives is accelerating the forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of Gaza, emptying the Strip of its people, implementing the plan of US President Donald Trump, while adding that the goal of these so-called "aid distribution centers" is to eliminate the Palestinian cause as a political issue and turn it into a matter of relief and humanitarian aid.
