The Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Tuesday that 98 Palestinians were martyred and 404 others injured in the past 24 hours as the Israeli occupation continued its assault on the besieged Strip.
Authorities said the overall death toll since October 7, 2023, has now risen to 63,557 martyrs and 160,660 injuries. Rescue workers warned that many victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded on roads that emergency crews cannot access due to ongoing bombardment.
According to the ministry, between March 18, 2025, and today, 11,426 people have been killed and 48,619 injured, underscoring the intensifying scale of the attacks.
'Breadwinner martyrs'
The daily report also highlighted that 46 people seeking humanitarian aid were killed and 239 were injured in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of what Gaza authorities describe as “breadwinner martyrs” to 2,294, with more than 16,839 others wounded since the start of the war on Gaza.
Hospitals in Gaza further recorded nine new deaths due to famine and malnutrition, including three children. The cumulative toll from hunger-related causes has reached 348 deaths, among them 127 children.
The figures reflect the compounded toll of direct bombardments and the deepening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where food scarcity, lack of medical supplies, and restricted access to aid continue to claim lives daily.
Destruction targets hospitals
Israeli warplanes bombed the vicinity of the outpatient clinic at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, causing injuries among patients and civilians.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, the shelling struck a tent inside the hospital compound, endangering the lives of patients. The office held the Israeli occupation, along with the US administration and allied countries, fully responsible for what it described as “systematic crimes.”
Hamas condemned the attack, labeling the bombing of a hospital as a “war crime.” The movement stressed that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is committing “brutal crimes of genocide” against the Palestinian people.
Hamas called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop the repeated attacks on hospitals, civilians, and public institutions. It urged Arab and Islamic countries to work toward imposing international protection for civilians and holding the occupation accountable for its crimes in Gaza.
