Mohammad Fayez Abu Matar, another journalist from the Gaza Strip, was also martyred after the IOF targeted the Rafah governorate in the southern area of the Strip.

The recent martyrdom of Shehab and Abu Matar, along with the previously reported martyrdom of journalists Saeed al-Taweel, Mohammad Sobh, Hisham al-Nwajha, Ibrahim Lafi, Mohammed Jarghoun, Mohammed Salehi, and Asaad Shamlakh, has raised the total count of journalists martyred due to the Israeli Occupation Forces' relentless carpet bombing of the Gaza Strip to nine.

Hospitals in Gaza are under severe pressure due to a shortage of fuel, risking the shutdown of essential services and endangering the lives of the wounded and sick, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

Although the final death toll is uncertain, the number of martyrs in Gaza has exceeded 1,200, and the number is expected to rise further as people remain trapped beneath the rubble and ambulances struggle to reach them amid heavy fire.

Unfortunately, this crisis will inevitably result in health repercussions, including the suspension of critical procedures such as cardiac catheterization, interventional surgeries, and cesarean sections. Additionally, the work of laboratory and blood bank services in 58 facilities is in jeopardy.

Gaza's Health Ministry has officially declared that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are operating at full capacity, with patients resorting to "lying on the floor" due to the substantial number of injuries stemming from the severe occupation aggression. They have issued a dire warning that health services in Gaza have reached a critical juncture.
