Gaza Resistance factions ensnare Israeli patrols, shell settlements
Palestinian Resistance factions are inflicting grave losses upon the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, with their capabilities showing no signs of deterioration 400 days into the war.
The Palestinian Resistance in Gaza continues its operations against Israeli forces for the 400th consecutive day, targeting Israeli troop concentrations in settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip.
Abu Khaled, spokesperson for the Martyr Omar al-Qassim Forces, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), stated that they continue "to confront enemy forces throughout Gaza, particularly in the northern sector."
He highlighted that the Omar al-Qassim Forces were engaging in close-range combat with Israeli forces, attacking enemy patrols and armored units and inflicting significant losses upon them.
Abu Khaled noted that confrontations involved heavy machine guns, anti-armor and anti-personnel grenades, and explosive devices. He added that the Omar al-Qassim Forces successfully planted explosives on several routes frequented by Israeli soldiers.
In a coordinated operation with other Resistance groups, Abu Khaled reported that the Omar al-Qassim Forces, in collaboration with Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, ambushed an Israeli patrol in the al-Shujaiyya neighborhood. The forces struck the patrol with heavy caliber mortar shells, setting multiple vehicles ablaze and injuring those inside.
Additionally, Abu Khaled announced a joint rocket attack on Israeli troops gathered in Netiv HaAsara, conducted by the Omar al-Qassim Forces and the al-Qadir al-Husseini Brigades, a military branch of Fatah in Gaza. The rockets accurately struck their targets.
Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades released footage showing rocket fire targeting the Netiv HaAsara settlement with 107mm rockets.

Yesterday, the al-Qassam Brigades announced a joint mortar shelling of Israeli forces southeast of al-Shujaiyya. They also targeted an Israeli armored personnel carrier (APC) with a tandem-charge RPG near the al-Amin Mohammad Mosque in Jabalia, northern Gaza.
In another operation, the Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank by detonating a powerful explosive device near Abu Rashid Pool in central Jabalia camp. Its fighters further reported shelling Israeli troops along the supply line in the Nitzarim axis with mortars.

Later, the al-Qassam Brigades also announced that its fighters targeted an Israeli military bulldozer of the D9 type with an RPG missile in the al-Qassasib area of Jabalia in northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, in cooperation with the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, launched a rocket barrage at the Kissufim military site in response to the Israeli occupation's crimes and in defense of the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, released footage showing a rocket attack on the Netiv HaAsara settlement using type 107 rockets.

Why are IOF in Gaza?
Israeli media outlets reported that outgoing Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant expressed skepticism, along with IOF Chief Herzi Halevi, regarding claims that there were valid security or diplomatic reasons to keep troops in Gaza.
Gallant reportedly informed the families of Israeli captives held in Gaza that the Israeli occupation forces had no reason to stay in the Strip.
"I can tell you what there was not, security considerations. Me and the IDF chief said there was no security reason for remaining in the Philadelphi Corridor," he was cited as saying by Israeli Channel 12, rebuking Netanyahu's claims of the existence of any security consideration.
He further insisted that "Israel" has achieved all there is to achieve in Gaza, stressing that the sole reason the military still was not withdrawn was because "there is a desire to be there."
These remarks are the most direct yet in underscoring the growing divide between Gallant, who supported a ceasefire to secure the release of captives, and Netanyahu, who dismissed the minister on Tuesday.
