Gaza Resistance fighters deal Israeli casualties; killing two
Al-Qassam snipers shot two Israeli soldiers while al-Quds Brigades fighters detonated an IED that struck a military vehicle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian Resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip attacked Israeli occupation forces on multiple axes in the besieged territory on Wednesday.
The most prominent of these attacks was an ambush conducted via a barrel-shaped improvised explosive device (IED) that hit an Israeli vehicle in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
The attack was executed by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades, where fighters reported deaths and injuries among Israeli troops present at the point of the ambush. Fighters also monitored Israeli forces that rushed to the area of the attack to evacuate the casualties from the neighborhood.
Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades' sniper units shot down two Israeli occupation soldiers in a building to the south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood on Wednesday.
The Israeli military command is attempting to expand its presence from the Neztarim Axis northwards into Tal al-Hawa and al-Zaytoun, however, these attempts have been faced with fierce Resistance, which has resulted in multiple casualties among the Israeli reserve 16th Infantry Brigade.
The Netzarim Axis splits the northern Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, from the rest of the besieged territory. It serves as a strategic position used by occupation forces to launch attacks on the central Gaza Strip and Gaza City, as well as a hub for military logistics.
On that note, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine's (PFLP) Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades fired several salvos of rockets at the Netzarim Axis, targeting groupings of occupation forces in the area.
It said that the rockets were fired from southern Gaza City and the northern section of the central Gaza Strip.
In the southern Gaza Strip, al-Quds Brigades' mortar units shelled groupings of Israeli occupation forces and advancing armored vehicles in eastern Khan Younis. The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said that it fired 107 mm rocket artillery shells at Israeli military assets and personnel near the Rafah border crossing.
In the past 24 hours, the Israeli military command announced that two of its fighters had been killed in the Gaza Strip.
One of the fighters was killed near the Netzarim Axis. He served in the 16th Brigades's 6310th Battalion. The other fighter was killed in the southern Gaza Strip and served in the Nahal 932nd Nahal Infantry Battalion.
