Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported on Sunday that the Palestinian Resistance thwarted Israeli attempts to advance in the southeast of Deir al-Balah and toward the depth of al-Bureij camp, concurrently with the launch of dozens of Israeli airstrikes on the region.

Our correspondent in al-Bureij emphasized that the Israeli occupation forces are facing resilient resistance in the camp, with Israeli artillery shells pouring down on the homes of civilians. He noted that "the occupation continues its attempt to advance toward this axis after previous failed attempts."

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the confrontations witnessed today in al-Bureij camp are unprecedented compared to any previous rounds of fighting, adding that Israeli warplanes are ruthlessly bombarding residential neighborhoods amid their operational failures in the camp.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent mentioned that Israeli warplanes targeted al-Furqan Mosque in al-Hikr area of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and carried out several airstrikes on other locations in the same area.

He pointed out that the Israeli occupation carried out dozens of airstrikes on Deir al-Balah, al-Maghazi, al-Nuseirat, al-Bureij camp, al-Zawaida, and Salah al-Din Street in the central Gaza Strip, which targeted inhabited houses, mosques, shelters, charitable institutions, and infrastructure.

More than 20 martyrs have been transported to hospitals in the past hours as a result of Israeli airstrikes in the central Gaza Strip, Al Mayadeen's correspondent mentioned, adding that a paramedic was martyred by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire while he was performing his humanitarian duty in al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

He added that a Palestinian youth was also martyred by the gunfire from Israeli warships on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Rafah.

This comes amid fierce confrontations between Palestinian Resistance fighters and the invading Israeli forces in al-Bureij axis in central Gaza, according to our correspondent.

Israeli aircraft targeted al-Sahaba al-Muhajireen Mosque and the al-Salah Association in al-Maghazi camp, as well as a house in Birkat al-Waz, resulting in the martyrdom of four family members. Another house was also targeted, resulting in casualties among its inhabitants.

In the south, an Israeli helicopter opened fire from its machine guns toward the east of Khan Younis city. Additionally, an Israeli drone targeted a house west of Rafah without causing any injuries.

Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in northern Gaza confirmed continuous confrontations between Resistance fighters and raiding Israeli forces in al-Tuffah and al-Daraj neighborhoods east of Gaza City.
