Gaza's western front: A hot zone, says Al Mayadeen's source
Israeli occupation forces have been making several attempts to advance on the ground from various directions, but the Resistance has successfully foiled these efforts, according to a source who spoke to Al Mayadeen.
A source within the Palestinian Resistance provided an update to Al Mayadeen regarding the ground operation in the Gaza Strip on the 27th day of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, amid repeated attempts by the Israeli military to advance into Gaza.
The source stated that Israeli occupation forces have been making several attempts to advance on the ground from various directions, but the Resistance has successfully foiled these efforts.
The source explained that Israeli occupation forces are advancing from the vicinity of the "Sderot" settlement within Gaza's periphery, aiming to encircle and isolate Beit Hanoun in the northern part of the Strip.
Furthermore, Israeli forces are also attempting to advance towards the northern areas of the al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, starting from the Karama area in the northwest of the region. The source described this region as "a hot zone."
Israeli occupation forces, the source said have tried to infiltrate through the coastal road alongside the al-Shati camp.

He further confirmed that the Palestinian Resistance has been well-informed about the Israeli occupation forces' strategy, effectively preventing their ground forces from making progress. It has also hindered their progress toward "Route 8." In addition, the source noted that the advanced Israeli occupation forces through the southwest of Gaza have encountered fierce Resistance and were targeted with mortar shells.
It is worth noting that intense confrontations with the Resistance have resulted in significant losses for the Israeli army.
Earlier today, Israeli occupation authorities reported the killing of 17 soldiers in confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip, as Israeli top figures expressed concerns about the high toll paid by troops.
