The "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" (GHF), a US- and Israeli-directed aid organization operating in the besieged Strip, admitted on Saturday its failure to distribute food parcels to Palestinians, blaming what it called “direct threats” from Hamas without providing any evidence or details.
In a statement, GHF claimed the alleged threats prevented the delivery of aid to “hundreds of thousands of Gaza residents in urgent need.” The foundation, which operates under close Israeli military coordination, said it was “adjusting its operations” and would seek to resume distribution “without delay.”
Despite GHF’s accusations, local authorities and rights groups have said that the US-Israeli aid structure suffers from deep mismanagement and complicity in war crimes. Its food distribution points—often situated near military positions—have repeatedly become the scene of massacres, as Israeli forces and private military contractors opened fire on starving crowds.
110 killed, Over 1,000 injured at GHF aid sites
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the death toll related to GHF-managed food aid distribution has now reached 110, with over 1,000 injured. Many of the casualties occurred near makeshift aid sites in northern and central Gaza, where crowds gathered in hopes of securing a meal amid "Israel’s" ongoing blockade.
The foundation announced on Friday it had suspended all distribution operations “until further notice.”

Gaza Media Office: UN should lead, GHF has failed
The Gaza Government Media Office issued a strongly worded response, reaffirming the United Nations’ central role in humanitarian operations and rejecting the US-Israeli model.
“The so-called American-Israeli aid system has failed completely,” the statement read, calling on the international community to recognize the incapacity of militarized distribution models to ensure civilian safety or meet basic humanitarian standards.
The office added that local authorities—alongside families and tribal communities—are fully capable of managing relief efforts, despite being targeted by Israeli attacks.
It further reiterated Gaza’s willingness to protect and facilitate UN aid deliveries, emphasizing the urgent need for neutral and professionally coordinated relief efforts.
