Glilot became a symbol for Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran: Israeli media
The Glilot area near Herzliya houses the headquarters of Mossad, alongside several Israeli intelligence units, including the prominent Unit 8200 specializing in signals intelligence.
The vehicle ramming incident carried out in the Glilot settlement, north of Tel Aviv, was not a coincidence, the Israeli Channel 12 pointed out on Sunday, emphasizing that the settlement has become a "symbol for Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, and everyone is targeting it."
Earlier, Israeli media reported that one Israeli settler was killed and more than 30 others were injured after a Palestinian driver, identified as Rami Nasrallah Natour, from the town Qalansawe, rammed his truck into settlers at a bus stop outside the Israeli military's Glilot base in central occupied Palestine.

According to Channel 12's Arab affairs correspondent, Ohad Hamou, the targeting of Glilot from various fronts is based on the notion that the Israeli war machine is operated from there.
The channel acknowledged that "Israel's" weak point lies in the operations carried out by individuals from al-Quds, particularly Palestinians from the territories occupied in 1948.

Since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza and the aggression on Lebanon, the base has repeatedly come under the fire of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah. The group first targeted the base in August during Operation Arbaeen conducted in response to the assassination of senior Hezbollah Commander martyr Fouad Shokor (Sayyed Mohsen).

Earlier in October, the base was also the target of missiles during Iran's Operation True Promise II in retaliation for the Israeli assassination of Hamas Political Bureau chief martyr Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah's Secretary-General martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC General martyr Abbas Nilforoushan.
Growing mistrust among Israeli settlers
In a related context, the Israeli channel Kan reported a growing distrust among settlers, particularly in northern occupied Palestine, toward the Israeli security and military leadership since October 7, 2023.
Former chair of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Zvi Hauser, suggested that "it’s crucial to constantly reassess the map of challenges facing Israel and to understand that Israel has been burying its head in the sand regarding developments in Gaza and the North over recent years."
"We were living in an illusion prior to October 6 on both the southern and northern fronts, and that illusion persisted in the north until a few weeks ago, up to the start of the ground incursion," he said.
Hauser acknowledged that "Israel has paid the price," indicating an understanding that a ring of fire now encircles the Israeli regime.
