Global celebrations for IRGC response to 'Israel'
The IRGC's operation was received favorably by people in the region, who celebrated it.
Tens of thousands of people across a number of countries took to the streets to celebrate Iran's historic operation targeting the Israeli occupation entity, which came in response to the criminal attack on the Islamic Republic's consulate and the assassination of senior IRGC members earlier this month.
Iranian crowds flooded the Palestine Square near the University of Tehran in the capital following the start of the operation, and chanted slogans in support of the IRGC while waving the national flag.
"I'm truly proud of the Corps for its decisive retaliation against this criminal and child-killing regime," one participant told Press TV.
"The usurping regime of Israel should know this clearly that the Islamic Republic would not hesitate to respond with force to its acts of mischief targeting Iranian interests around the region," said another.

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps launched a massive operation late Saturday, targeting the occupation entity with dozens of missiles and drones in response to the attack on Iran's consulate in Damascus last week, which resulted in the martyrdom of seven senior IRGC advisors, including Brigadier General martyr Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the leader of the IRGC's Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon.
In a statement, the Corps said that the operation targeting "Israel," dubbed "True Promise," came following the "silence and neglect" of international organizations regarding the attack on the consulate and the assassination of its senior members. The statement pointed out that the United Nations Security Council also failed to condemn the Israeli aggression or punish the entity in accordance with Article 7 of the UN Charter.
