Huseynov told Sputnik that EMF representatives held a meeting in Istanbul with the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament and secured the latter's support for holding the Global Summit for Palestine.
He announced that the forum is scheduled for later this year in London, with participation from political and religious figures from across the globe.
According to Huseynov, "The purpose of the forum is to support Palestine, refugees, victims of Israeli aggression, as well as to oppose Islamophobia, xenophobic extremism, fascist radicals."
Elsewhere, he pointed out that Muslims worldwide are now united with the healthy forces of Europe to establish a common platform for dialogue and to outline future initiatives.
Putin: We are doing everything...to support Palestinian people
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday told Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas that Moscow was "concerned" about civilian deaths in Gaza.
"We are concerned above all about civilian losses," Putin said, according to images shown on Russian state television.
"We are doing everything ... to support Palestine and the Palestinian people," he said.
The only way to create "long-lasting, reliable, stable peace in the region" is by the implementation of all UN resolutions and the "creation of a fully-fledged Palestinian state," he added.
On his part, Abbas told Putin, "We feel that Russia is one of the dearest friends of the Palestinian people."
This comes as the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 has risen to 40,074 martyrs, and those injured to 92,537.
Since the onset of the Israeli aggression, Pro-Palestine protesters, especially in Europe, have taken to the streets to urge their governments to impose an embargo on arms sales to "Israel" and the international community to pressure the occupation into stopping the war and agreeing to a ceasefire.
