Gulf trio islands eternal part of Iran: Khatibzadeh
Iran reaffirms that the three Persian Gulf islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are a part of Iran's territorial sovereignty.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that the three Gulf islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb will always be part of Iran's territory.
"Even an inch of the homeland’s territory is equal to all of Iran," Khatibzadeh wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson stated on Twitter that the three islands represent the eternal territory of proud Iran in the center of the perpetual Gulf, and they are the apple of the country's eye.
On his Twitter account, Khatibzadeh gave thanks to ardent border guards who are fighting for every inch of this valuable area, noting that the three Gulf islands are inseparably linked to Iran.
Earlier, in a statement denouncing the GCC's remarks at the conclusion of their meeting accusing Iran of supporting "terrorism and posing maritime dangers," which the Spokesperson slammed as a "cliché attempt" to create conflicts in the area, Khatinzadeh stressed that the islands of Abu Musa, as well as the Lesser and Greater Tunbs, are inseparable parts of Iran and that any claims about these islands are fiercely condemned as interference in the country's internal affairs.
On his part, IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami said that some Gulf regimes' relations with the Zionist entity are unacceptable.
During his visit to Abu Musa Island in the Gulf waters, Salami affirmed that the presence of the Zionist entity in any region is a destabilizing factor for its security, stressing that these regimes should reconsider their political dispositions.
"Our forces on these islands maintain a high level of military readiness, vitality, and activity," he added.
