Due to "possible security threats," the US embassy in Afghanistan encouraged US citizens to avoid traveling and instead head to Kabul airport, where evacuations are taking place.
ISIS' threat to Kabul Airport is serious and very dangerous, according to US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, who said yesterday that information from sources on the field leads us to take the ISIS threat very seriously.
The European Union's Foreign Minister, Josep Borrell, has warned that evacuating 60,000 people and Afghans that seek protection by the end of the month would be impossible.
