United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged on Thursday all parties in the Israeli war on Gaza to fully comply with the agreement proposed by US President Donald Trump and to seize the opportunities that this agreement offers.
Speaking at the UN stakeout, Guterres stated, "I urge all parties to fully abide by the terms of the agreement, and to fully embrace the opportunities it presents."
Seeming to be concerned more about Israeli captives and the formalities of the exchange, despite the horrible genocide in Gaza, he also declared, "All hostages must be released in a dignified manner." He further added that the UN is fully prepared to extend its complete support for the agreement's implementation.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Thursday that over 24 hours, amid ceasefire talks between the Palestinian movement Hamas and "Israel", eleven people have been killed in the Gaza Strip.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that the Israeli army is still bombing parts of the Gaza Strip, even though a ceasefire deal has been officially announced to stop the war.
Illustrating the situation on the ground, the Government Media Office called on the Palestinian people to be extremely cautious while moving and emphasized the need to wait for an official announcement from the relevant Palestinian authorities before feeling completely safe.
As the residents of the Strip await the implementation of the agreement and a complete halt to the bombardment, the office urged citizens to avoid moving along al-Rashid and Salah al-Din streets or in their surrounding areas until the field situation becomes clear.
The Gaza Health Ministry stated on Telegram that over the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip have continued to receive martyred individuals, with eleven people killed, one of whom died under debris, and forty-nine others injured being admitted. Two people were killed at aid distribution centers, the ministry further reported.
According to the ministry, the total number of deaths from Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 67,194, with 169,890 people injured, while the death toll since March 18, 2025, has now reached 13,598, and the number of injured during this latter period has reached 57,849.
