The spokesperson for the Iraqi al-Nujaba Movement, Hussein al-Moussawi, touched on the targeting of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq for the occupied city of Haifa.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen, al-Moussawi said that the latest operation is a message to the Israeli occupation entity, stressing that the Axis of Resistance does not abandon its strategic goals in the region and that the Resistance is capable of reaching areas beyond Haifa.

The spokesperson indicated that the Iraqi Resistance finds favorable conditions to develop its weapons.

In addition, he emphasized that the targeting of Haifa is not momentary but an integrated system to confront the action of the Israeli entity and the United States, pointing out that the goal of the Resistance is to disrupt the US plan in the region and to distract the Israeli occupation's plan in Gaza.

Elsewhere, al-Moussawi underlined that the Resistance is capable of managing this battle for a long time because it has the capabilities that enable it to do so.

Earlier on Sunday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it had targeted, in the past few days, a vital target in Israeli-occupied Haifa.

According to the official statement released by the Iraqi Resistance, the operation was conducted using the now-revealed "al-Arqab" upgraded long-range cruise missile.

The Iraqi Resistance further confirmed in its statement that the targeting comes "in support of our people in Gaza and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly."

The Resistance also emphasized it "will continue to target enemy strongholds," promising that more is yet to come.

The targeting of occupied Haifa adds to the Iraqi Resistance's operations against occupied territories amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, as the Resistance has previously declared attacking Israeli military targets in "Eilat" (occupied Umm al-Rashash) and in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
