Al-Qassam Brigades hit 28 Israeli vehicles in a few hours: Abu Obeida
The Palestinian Resistance in Gaza fiercely confronts the invading Israeli occupation forces, inflicting devastating damage upon their ranks.
The Palestinian Resistance in Gaza partially or completely destroyed 28 invading Israeli military vehicles all over the Palestinian Strip, al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obeida said on Monday.
An Al Mayadeen correspondent in Gaza reported that the resistance destroyed 13 Israeli vehicles in the Shujaiya neighborhood alone.
The al-Qassam Resistance fighters, the armed wing of the Hamas Resistance movement, attacked the invading Israeli forces using anti-armor munitions and anti-personnel mines while also engaging them in close-quarter combat.
The Israeli occupation forces attacked Israeli military positions using high-caliber mortar shells and struck deep into the occupied Palestinian territories using mortars, as well.
Hamas' military wing said earlier in the day that several Israeli soldiers were killed or injured in an attack on an Israeli tank in the northern Gaza Strip.
The al-Qassam Brigades said earlier on Monday that its Resistance fighters attacked an Israeli tank that had several infantry soldiers around it using a Yassin-105 tandem RPG.
The Resistance's fighters, the al-Qassam Brigades said, also confronted an Israeli special operations unit and killed several of its soldiers in al-Falujah, northern Gaza.
The renowned Yassin-105 was also used to attack five other military vehicles invading al-Falujah, as well as an Israeli tank west of Jabaliya.
Resistance using advanced weapons
"The al-Qassam Brigades targeted a special Zionist force with a Ra'diya anti-personnel mine," the Resistance said in a statement.
"They engaged the remaining members of the force with assault rifles at point-blank range, confronted another Zionist special force, and killed and injured several of them in al-Falujah," the al-Qassam Brigades said.
The Qassam Brigades also reported that their fighters attacked two Israeli units sheltering themselves in residential buildings in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, using the aforementioned anti-personnel mine.
The al-Qassam's Resistance fighters also attacked the "Third Eye" Israeli military sites using the Rujum 144mm short-range missile system.
Another weapon used during Monday's confrontations was the Shawaz Explosively Formed Penetrator (EFP).
Shawaz (meaning flame in Arabic) looks to be similar to devices that were used by the Iraqi resistance against the US forces during their occupation of the country and against Israeli forces in South Lebanon before the year 2000 as well as in Gaza, indicating a possible growing collaboration between various parties in the Axis of resistance.
Such devices possess capabilities to penetrate up to 200mm of steel, according to some US military data.
In the east of Beit Lahia, the al-Qassam Brigades said they attacked an invading Israeli tank, as well as a Puma military engineering vehicle, with a Yassin-105 shell. They also targeted an Israeli force that was sheltering itself inside a building with a TBG shell.
The al-Qassam Brigades also announced that they fired a barrage of rockets toward the occupied city of Beer Sabe.
Al-Quds Brigades
On its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, announced targeting Israeli gatherings in the Abu Holi direction using mortars while also firing a barrage of rockets toward the Israeli military site of "Kissufim".
The al-Quds Brigades destroyed an Israeli military vehicle with a Thaqib (Arabic for piercing) explosive device in a complex operation. The Resistance fighters also targeted two other vehicles using Tandem shells in the direction of eastern Gaza City.
The al-Quds Brigades launched numerous rockets at the Israeli Karm Abu Salem site and an Israeli military base,
The fighters of the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades engaged in intense confrontations in the direction of the Sheikh Radwan area and al-Nasr Street.
Meanwhile, the fighters of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades attacked Israeli settlements with a rocket barrage in response to the occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people.
