Hamas ensnare Israeli forces in Khan Younis amid fierce confrontations
The Israeli occupation forces fall into an ambush in Gaza's Khan Younis as the al-Qassam Brigades continue to inflict major losses upon them.
For the 360th consecutive day of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, Palestinian Resistance forces in the Gaza Strip continue to confront the Israeli occupation forces across multiple battlefronts, dealing significant blows to the invading forces.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Resistance movement, executed a complex ambush against Israeli forces in the al-Fukhari area, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
According to details released by al-Qassam, the ambush resulted in casualties among the Israeli occupation forces, with reports of both fatalities and injuries.
The Brigades successfully destroyed two armored personnel carriers and targeted a Merkava tank and two D9 military bulldozers using explosives and Al Yassin 105 anti-tank RPGs.
Following the ambush, al-Qassam observed Israeli helicopters landing to evacuate dead and wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
An Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that subsequently, Israeli tanks launched a barrage of smoke screens while intensively firing around the al-Fukhari school area.
'Extremely difficult' situation
Meanwhile, Israeli media described the situation as "extremely difficult," with reports emerging of an attempted capture operation and additional injuries among Israeli troops during clashes in Khan Younis.
Simultaneously, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) announced two operations against Israeli forces in the Netzarim corridor, southwest of Gaza City.
In the first operation, the brigades shelled a number of Israeli soldiers near the Justice Palace in the area with Al Yassin 107 RPGs. They also targeted Israeli command positions at the Abu Urayban site and the Turkish hospital vicinity in Netzarim with Al Yassin 107 rockets and heavy mortar shells.
As Resistance forces in Gaza continue their fight against Israeli occupation forces, the death toll among Israeli officers and soldiers has reached 715 since the start of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, with 346 of those deaths occurring since the beginning of the ground invasion of Gaza.
These figures were reported by the Israeli military, though they are believed to understate the actual losses. Resistance groups in Gaza, through their statements and documented footage, assert that the number of Israeli casualties is far higher than what has been publicly disclosed.
