The Palestinian Islamic movement, Hamas, published a statement thanking mediator countries, namely Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, for their efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.
Hamas expressed deep appreciation for the mediation efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey over the past two years, acknowledging their work to bridge gaps and overcome obstacles, which ultimately contributed to ending the war on Gaza.
Additionally, the movement commended all those who had shed blood alongside the Palestinian people in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and praised those who had sailed on the Freedom Flotillas to break the siege, as well as the protesters who had demonstrated in public squares across the world.
It also expressed gratitude to Algeria, South Africa, Russia, China, and Colombia for their roles in international forums and for their efforts to stop the war and support Palestinian political, legal, and humanitarian positions.
Hamas thanks media outlets, supporters
The movement also extended its thanks to the media outlets that worked to expose the enemy's crimes and publicize the plight of the Palestinian people, highlighting the massacres and ethnic cleansing they have endured, and to those who choose to stand with the truth despite immense pressure by rejecting the narrative of the oppressor.
Hamas stated, "We call on everyone to continue their efforts with the Palestinian people—for the mediators to complete their role by ensuring the implementation of the agreement's remaining terms, particularly regarding the entry of sufficient aid, opening the Rafah crossing in both directions, and urgently commencing the reconstruction of homes and infrastructure."
Hamas also urged "our supporters to sustain their boycott campaigns and popular solidarity."
The movement further stressed the immediate need to finalize the formation of the community support committee comprising a group of nationally-agreed-upon independents so it could begin its work in administering Gaza and to complete the withdrawal of occupation forces to the agreed-upon positions.
Hamas also called for continuing the steps to hold war criminals accountable by bringing them to justice for their crimes against the Palestinian people and all of humanity, maintaining all forms of boycott and working to further isolate the occupation and its leaders.
