During a call on Monday evening, the head of Hamas' political bureau Ismail Haniyeh and the secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Ziad Al-Nakhalah spoke of "Israel's" failure in strategy to break the will of the Palestinian people in their struggle, and the resistance's unity in the face of the occupation.

The two leaders mourned the martyrs of both the Al-Quds Brigades - the military wing of the PIJ - and the Palestinian people in general, who have risen to resist the treacherous Israeli aggression against Gaza in the past days. They stressed that blood will remain a beacon on the path towards liberation, as the martyrdom of the leaders is succeeded by those carry on in this path.

The recent confrontation with the occupation and its repercussions, in addition to strategies to enhance and improve resistance and joint coordination, were discussed in the phone call. The leaders praised the interdependence of the resistance in their field functions and operations.

Furthermore, "the steadfastness of our Palestinian people, their valiant resistance, and the political efforts made at the national, regional and international levels" were also praised.

Al-Nakhalah and Haniyeh agreed to hold a meeting soon at the leadership level of the two movements to discuss political and field developments and fortify the strategic path for the future of the resistance.

Moreover, during a telephone conversation between Iran's foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Haniyeh, the former praised the Palestinian resistance, which "succeeded in forcing the Zionist enemy to cease fire in just two days and accept the terms of the resistance," describing the matter as a "great achievement."

Amir-Amnbdollahian, in addition, praised Hamas' role in "preserving the unity of the resistance factions," stressing that "this unity is a great success for the resistance axis."
