Israeli occupation media reported the Israeli Army’s confirmation of Hamas seizing control of settlements in the Gaza envelope, adding that one of the bases seized by Hamas Resistance fighters is the command center for the Israeli Army's Gaza Regiment.

Media outlets also reported that Hamas has managed to seize control of seven Israeli settlements, as footage spread of settlers running in panic amid Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

"Rockets were launched toward targets in the north” of Gaza, according to Israeli media, which added that the Israeli Army launched an aggression called “Operation Iron Swords” using dozens of Israeli aircraft to attack Hamas targets in Gaza.

Israeli pundits poked fun at the name, describing the Army's aggression as resembling scrap metal, rather than iron swords.

A Fox News correspondent noted that the occupation has lost control of multiple settlements along the separation wall with Gaza, where Hamas seized control of some small settlements whose settlers remained there.

For its part, Gaza’s Health Ministry denounced the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the Indonesian Hospital north of the Strip, which led to the martyrdom of one member of its staff and multiple other injuries, also leading to a failure in oxygen supply tanks for patients.

The Health Ministry asked international and humanitarian institutions to take necessary measures for the protection of health institutions and the safety of ambulances and health staff during emergencies.

Israeli settlers decry occupation's impotence

Mohammad Deif, Commander-in-Chief of al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the launching of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood following a barrage of rockets fired and an infiltration operation into Gaza Envelope settlements.

The leader said the operation comes in response to the Israeli occupation's desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as multiple assaults against women in its yards.

He added that the Resistance fired more than 5,000 rockets and shells during the first stage of strikes.

Israeli media reported that Israeli settlers in the Gaza Envelope are pleading for help, decrying the army's impotence and abandonment. Meanwhile, footage showed a mass exodus of Israeli settlers following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

Concurrently, the Israeli army has begun calling up reserves, opening shelters, and advising settlers to stay in fortified locations. Israeli media also reported that "the settlers are afraid, shocked, and frustrated, and they are pleading for help from the army."
