A source in the Resistance told Al Mayadeen the missile that was used to engage the occupation's raiding warplanes of the occupation was of the soviet Strela type, with a range of 3,700 meters, an altitude of engagement of up to 1,500 meters, and a speed of 430 meters per second.
The occupation warplanes launched raids on sites west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, allegedly in response to a missile fired earlier at one of the settlements of the Gaza envelope.
