Hamas warns over Kamal Adwan Hospital going out of service
Hamas urges all relevant parties and UN agencies to immediately facilitate the delivery of emergency food supplies to besieged northern Gaza.
The Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced that Kamal Adwan Hospital being taken out of service worsens the humanitarian conditions for Palestinians in northern Gaza and puts further strain on its fragile healthcare system.
It urged all relevant parties and UN agencies to take immediate action and facilitate the delivery of emergency food supplies to besieged northern Gaza.
Hamas further emphasized that the Israeli occupation forces have been deliberately starving Palestinians north of the Strip labeling the Israeli occupation as a criminal enemy who does not respect any humanitarian standards or moral controls in its comprehensive war against Palestinians.
It added that the International community and the UN should fulfill their responsibilities of taking necessary measures to end the Israeli genocide against Gaza.
Kamal Adwan Hospital out of service
The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital announced that as of today, the hospital is out of service due to the absence of fuel.
He stressed that this deprives thousands of Palestinians of their right to medical care adding that many patients have been martyred as a result of lack of medication, fuel, and malnutrition.
The director added that in recent days four children were martyred due to malnutrition and dehydration.
Malnutrition has been killing Palestinian children
Seven Palestinian infants died from malnutrition and starvation in 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, according to the Information Office in Gaza, as reported by Anadolu on February 25.
In a statement released on February 24, the office warned of an impending catastrophe unless the Israeli genocide halts and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
The statement explicitly pointed the finger at the United States for the famine unfolding in Gaza.
In further detail, a two-month-old infant named Mahmoud Fattouh was one of the seven infants who died from malnutrition at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, as per media accounts. This came in the aftermath of the United Nations issuing a caution about a potential surge in child fatalities resulting from "Israel's" aggression on the blockaded enclave.
The infant's death occurred as his family faced difficulties in procuring milk and essential provisions. A paramedic reported that Mahmoud was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to severe malnutrition, but sadly, he did not survive.
