Hamas: 'Israel' attacks Syria as it stands against normalization
In an interview for Al-Aqsa TV, a top Hamas figure says that the Israeli occupation is taking advantage of normalization to attack Lebanon’s wealth, bomb Damascus airport, and carry out assassinations in Iran.
Head of the Hamas Arab and Islamic Relations Office Khalil Al-Hayya condemned the latest Israeli aggression on Syria.
In an interview for Al-Aqsa TV, Al-Hayya stressed that the Israeli occupation is attacking Syria because it has not been able to force it into normalization.
“The Israeli occupation is taking advantage of normalization to attack Lebanon’s wealth, bomb Damascus airport, and carry out assassinations in Iran,” he added.
In this context, Al-Hayya called for "the broadest Arab-Islamic consensus campaign," stressing that "the Zionist enemy must be neither an ally nor a friend of any Arab or Islamic country.”
"We will confront the occupation, strengthen our defense capabilities, and bring forth whatever consolidates our steadfastness in Gaza, occupied Al-Quds, the '48 occupied territories, and the diaspora," he added.
Regarding the Israeli siege on Gaza, the top Palestinian figure told Al-Aqsa TV that "the occupation must bear full responsibility for its siege on Gaza," adding that "Gaza is the core of the Palestinian national cause."
“Gaza is paying the price for its steadfastness and defense of Al-Aqsa," Al-Hayya stressed.
As for Al-Quds, Al-Hayya said, “The occupation is trying, by all means, to win the battle, placing Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the churches in grave danger.”
According to Al-Hayya, "The occupation is planning on how to build a private synagogue inside Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to expel and displace everyone who defends Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa."
"Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa are our capital and our Qibla, and we shall never concede them," he stressed.

He emphasized that "the occupation is soldiering on normalization to Judaize and expand its settlements, not to mention consolidating a system of oppression against the Palestinian people."
On political solutions, Al-Hayya said that "the horizon for a political solution has dispersed," adding that "unity is a key component in confronting the occupation."
He went on to say that Hamas exerts strained efforts "to create a united Palestine in the face of the occupation."
The top Hamas official indicated that the joint work between the Palestinian Resistance factions has proven effective.
Al-Hayya concluded by saying that "the relationship with Turkey is good and stable," adding that "Hamas seeks broader relations with all countries."
