Head of Russian Muftis' Shura Council meets Hamas head of int'l office
The talks were "friendly" and "frank".
The head of the Russian Muftis' Shura Council, Rawi Ainuddin, received a delegation from Hamas today, Thursday. Ainuddin, in the meeting, revealed that the "Palestinian cause is not limited to the Palestinians, but concerns all Muslims, because Al-Aqsa Mosque is blessed by God."

The meeting came after talks ended between the Hamas delegation, which was headed by Moussa Abu Marzouk, who is the head of Hamas' international relations office, along with the Russian side who was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, who is the special envoy to the Middle East for the Russian presidency, in addition to Foreign Affairs ministry officials.
The talks which have been ongoing bore major implications regarding the Palestine issue, in addition to regional and international matters. The atmosphere was "friendly" and "frank", according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Yesterday, Wednesday, quoting a high-ranking diplomatic source, Israeli media announced that the Russian Foreign Ministry will receive a delegation for Hamas. The delegation arrived in Moscow yesterday for the talks.
By the end of last December, a delegation from the movement made a similar visit to Moscow and discussed a number of issues with Russian officials.
Israeli media, quoting Al Mayadeen, addressed the current events and remarked that the wedge in Russian-Israeli relations is deepening, quoting "Israeli discontent" with Hamas' official visit to Moscow.
Yesterday, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, revealed that there were Israeli mercenaries fighting alongside the extremist neo-Nazi Azov brigade in Ukraine, adding that "Israel" will not be able to ignore this, especially when there are videos and materials backing this up.
