Hezbollah published a statement condemning the Israeli airstrikes that targeted various parts of Syria on Friday.
"Hezbollah condemns the treacherous Zionist aggression that targeted Syria in a blatant attack on its territory," the Lebanese Resistance group announced in its statement, "Hiding behind flimsy pretexts and hollow slogans to carry out its expansionist and divisive schemes, which aim to fragment Syria, divide it, and sow discord among its people."
The statement emphasized that "Israel's" aggression clearly aims to erode Syria’s stability and diminish its strength, following the same pattern of repeated attacks against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
"We in Hezbollah emphasize the necessity of preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty as an independent state and express our confidence that the honorable people of Syria will stand as an impenetrable bulwark against these suspicious schemes."
The statement concluded by urging the international community, particularly Arab states, to act swiftly in putting an end to this aggression, which threatens the stability, sovereignty, and security of regional nations.
'Israel' launches extensive raids on Syria
Israeli warplanes launched a wide-ranging series of airstrikes across Syria, described by local reports as one of the most expansive attacks in recent months, beginning with intense drone activity over the provinces of Daraa, Homs, and Hama before transitioning into a coordinated aerial assault carried out by Israeli fighter jets overnight, according to Syrian sources and Israeli media outlets.
Airstrikes hit the al-Sha‘ra region in Latakia's countryside as Israeli jets flew heavily further south over Damascus and its surroundings, with explosions reported in and around the capital, particularly near the Harasta suburb.

Further south, the town of Muthbin in northern Daraa was hit by an Israeli airstrike as Israeli media outlets reported the strikes expanded to previously untouched areas in Damascus while simultaneously targeting positions in Idlib.
