Hezbollah congratulates Sinwar, Hamas on politburo chief election
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon says that Hamas electing a head for its political bureau amid war sends a strong message to "Israel" and the US about the movement's determination.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon congratulated the Palestinian Resistance Hamas movement and leader Yahya Sinwar for being elected as the head of Hamas' political Burae, succeeding the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated by "Israel" last week while he was on an official visit to Iran.
In a statement late Tuesday, Hezbollah said that electing Sinwar, "who is currently present with the Resistance fighters and alongside them at the forefront of the battle against the Israeli occupation in besieged Gaza, amid the killing and starvation," confirms that the "goals the enemy seeks through the killing of leaders and officials have failed to achieve their desired outcome."

In a statement late Tuesday, Hezbollah declared that the selection of Sinwar, who is currently on the front lines with Resistance fighters in the besieged Gaza Strip fighting the Israeli occupation amid the siege and starvation, underscores that the "enemy's objectives through the assassination of leaders and officials have failed to achieve their intended outcomes."
"The [Resistance] flag is passed from hand to hand, drenched in the blood of martyrs, and it sends a strong message to the Zionist enemy, and behind it the United States and its allies, that the Hamas movement is unified in its decision, firm in its principles, steadfast in its choices, and determined to continue, along with all Palestinian factions, on the path of resistance no matter the sacrifices."
Hezbollah said the Resistance Axis is currently fighting a "heroic and historic battle on several fronts at a sensitive time in the region, to support and assist the oppressed Palestinian people."

Electing a new head for the politburo at this critical juncture, amid the battle, "bolsters our nation's and the region's resolve and faith," Hezbollah continued, adding that this "reinforces their determination to unite efforts and persist in the resistance until complete liberation is achieved."
Hamas announced on Tuesday evening that the Palestinian resistance leader Yahya Sinwar will serve as its new political leader, succeeding martyr Haniyeh.
In a statement, the movement said, "After in-depth and extensive consultations and deliberations in our leadership institutions, brother leader Yahya Sinwar was chosen as head of the political bureau."
