Hezbollah engages HQs of Golani Brigade, Egoz Unit in Akka with drones
The operation is in response to the Israeli assassination of a Hezbollah fighter in a drone strike targeting his car deep in South Lebanon.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah confirmed Tuesday that it engaged the headquarters of two Israeli military units in southern occupied Palestine in response to the assassination of one of its fighters in a southern Lebanese town earlier.
In a statement, Hezbollah said its Resistance fighters launched a combined aerial attack using diversionary and suicide drones and engaged the headquarters of the Golani Brigade and the Egoz Unit 621 at Shraga barracks north of the occupied city of Akka, hitting its targets precisely.

Reuters highlighted that this was Hezbollah's "deepest attack" into occupied Palestinian territory since the start of the Gaza war on October 7.
The Lebanese Resistance group mentioned that the operation came in response to the Israeli aggression that targeted the town of Adloun and the assassination of one of its fighters.
Prior to the operation, Hezbollah mourned its Resistance fighter Hussein Ali Azkoul (Hadi) from the town of Qalaway and a resident of the town of Adloun in southern Lebanon.

Earlier, Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of Muhammad Khalil Attiya, codenamed Sajid, born in 1994, from the town of Qana and a resident of the town of Sarafand in southern Lebanon, on the path to al-Quds.
In a later statement, the Islamic Resistance said its fighters attacked an assembly of Israeli occupation soldiers in the vicinity of the al-Assi site with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Lebanon had reported that assault drones launched from southern Lebanon engaged an Israeli military target in one of the coastal settlements, in an unprecedented operation.
Israeli media had earlier reported sirens sounding in the Upper al-Jalil area over a drone infiltration and mentioned that interception missiles were launched toward a suspicious aerial target in the skies of Nahariya.

The media also pointed out that sirens sounded in numerous northern settlements reaching the city of Akka. It was also noted that sirens sounded in Kiryat for the first time since last December.
The Israeli Army Radio confirmed that 200,000 Israelis took shelter in the north after three drones were launched from Lebanon over Nahariya.
It is noteworthy that on April 17, Hezbollah's guided missiles and attack drones also engaged the headquarters of the newly created command of the Israeli reconnaissance company in the town of Arab al-Aramsha in northern occupied Palestine.
