Hezbollah MP: Lebanese Resistance ready for all scenarios - Exclusive
Hassan Fadlallah tells Al Mayadeen that the Resistance's sacrifices are part of the greater battle of preventing "Israel" from achieving its objectives.
The Israeli occupation's escalation is an attempt to create "what it considers a deterrent factor," but the power of the Resistance today is much greater than what it was in the past, Hassan Fadlallah, a member of Hezbollah's Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, told Al Mayadeen on Wednesday.
Fadlallah pointed out that the occupation targeted residential homes where there was no military activity, asking, "What achievement does this represent?"

He affirmed that "the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon determines the [nature of the] response" to the Israeli aggressions on the country and that it will carefully study how to deal with the escalation.
The MP highlighted that everyone is aware that the occupation suffered a historic defeat in Bint Jbeil in 2006, emphasizing that "the sacrifices we make in southern Lebanon are part of the larger battle to prevent the enemy from achieving its goals."
During the battle of Bint Jbeil, a small group of Resistance fighters successfully forced the withdrawal of the infamous Israeli Golani Brigade.
He noted that the difference between the past and today is that now, there exists a Resistance force capable of facing and responding to Israeli attacks and imposing its own equations.

Fadlallah also underlined that the capabilities of the Resistance have greatly evolved, especially since the 2006 war, and have grown in determination, readiness in the field, and the ability to control the course of the battle.
On the Resistance's tactics, he noted that "the real action we take is against the enemy's military installations, and when the occupation escalates, the Resistance adapts its methods of confrontation," he continued, confirming that "the Resistance plays a significant role in this battle, and the enemy is well aware of it."
"We are working on two goals: supporting Gaza and defending our land," in addition to "preventing catastrophic consequences if the enemy achieves its objectives," he continued, revealing that "the Israeli military predicament is significant, and time will gradually show its extent."

Fadlallah emphasized that today, "the equation is entirely different, and for the first time, Israeli positions on the borders have become daily targets," side by side with the state of attrition that the enemy's army is forced into.
The Hezbollah MP concluded by stressing, "This enemy must not prevail in Gaza, and if it achieves its goals there, the entire region will pay the price," referring to the Israeli actions post-war.
Earlier today, during the funeral procession for three Lebanese civilians, martyred in an Israeli strike targeting their home in Bint Jbeil on Tuesday, Fadlallah stated, "The Islamic Resistance will not tolerate the targeting of civilians," and "it will respond to all crimes of the Israeli occupation."
He also added that Resistance "will not be shaken by this crime, as we are determined to stick to the path of Resistance."
The Israeli occupation and its settlers are getting increasingly concerned due to the operations carried out by Hezbollah in the north, coinciding with those conducted by Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
