Hezbollah retaliates

Earlier today, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) mentioned that Israeli warplanes bombarded a neighborhood in Mays al-Jabal while a number of the town's residents were inspecting their homes and businesses and the damage caused by the relentless Israeli attacks on the town for the past seven months.

"What happened in the village of Mays al-Jabal is that a group of civilians was trying to retrieve their personal belongings from there when they were targeted by the Israeli airstrike." Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon revealed.

According to NNA, the Israeli strike caused massive destruction and resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several civilians.

Mays al-Jabal municipality chief Abdelmoneim Chukair confirmed that a father, a mother, and their little child were martyred in the Israeli airstrike.

The news agency mentioned that emergency and rescue teams worked on evacuating the victims to hospitals in the area, while civil defense teams continued their efforts in clearing the rubble in search of any missing victims.

Following the announcement, Israeli media reported that the Israeli military declared a state of alert in anticipation of retaliatory strikes launched from Lebanon. The media confirmed that sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona, adding that a heavy barrage of rockets was launched toward the Israeli settlement and its vicinity. Israeli media also reported a power outage in al-Khalisa [Kiryat Shmona].
