Hezbollah's drones impact Israeli barracks, injure a soldier
Hezbollah kickstarts today's operations with an attack on the Israeli artillery bunkers in the occupied Syrian Golan, causing fires to break out.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah continues pounding Israeli military sites and strongholds across the Palestinian-Lebanese border, in support of the steadfast people of Palestine and in defense of the brave villages in the south of Lebanon.
Consequently, Hezbollah announced on Wednesday, that its fighters bombarded the Israeli artillery bunkers in al-Zaoura in the occupied Syrian Golan with tens of Grad-type rockets.
The operation came in response to the Israeli attack that targeted the Lebanese Bekaa region on Tuesday night.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the South of Lebanon reported that fires broke out at the site of the artillery bunkers, after confirming that an attack was launched from Lebanon toward Israeli targets located in occupied lands, facing the eastern sector. Smoke was seen shortly following the attack, as the Iron Dome failed to intercept the shells.
On Wednesday night, the Resistance announced that its fighters conducted three more operations against Israeli occupation forces.
In response to several Israeli attacks on the towns of Teir Harfa and al-Taybeh, Resistance fighters fired projectiles at several buildings, used by Israeli occupation forces, in the Shtula settlement.
The Resistance's Unmanned Air Force also launched a swarm of drones at the headquarters of an artillery regiment, subordinate to the Israeli 210th Headquarters of the Artillery Regiment of the 210th Territorial Division in the occupied Golan.
The drones impacted the dwelling and operational facilities of Israeli officers and soldiers in the Yarden Barracks, causing casualties among them.
In the context of the operation, the Israeli military admitted that three suicide drones launched from Lebanon impacted a customs house in the occupied Golan.
As a result of the attack, at least one Israeli soldier was injured and evacuated to a nearby hospital.
Hezbollah's strike on the Yarden military site came in response to an Israeli strike that assassinated a Resistance fighter on the Damascus-Beirut route earlier on Tuesday.
The Resistance also launched an attack on an area linking al-Ramtha and al-Summaqah military sites in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Chouba Hills, targeting groupings of Israeli forces. Hezbollah fighters were able to deal direct hits to their intended targets, at 10:20 pm (local time)
The Israeli newspaper Maariv, in a related context, said that Hezbollah was expanding the scope of confrontation while giving "Israel" lessons in strategy, noting that over the past nine months, the Lebanese Resistance group launched over 6800 rockets and missiles toward the occupation.
As a result, over 710 fires broke out in the occupied north, engulfing over 180,000 dunams of land in flames.
'Israel' to suffer 'severe damage' in war with Hezbollah: INSS
Hezbollah's diverse and extensive arsenal can cause "severe damage to Israel," the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) found.
The security-focused Israeli institute surveyed the effects of the ongoing confrontations on the Northern Front and examined the possible outcomes of an all-out war with Lebanon, in an extensive report. The issue is currently of great importance, as Israeli officials threaten war against Lebanon, which is estimated to produce devastating results for the Israeli settler-colonial project.
INSS focused on the effects that the attacks have caused in settlements and the major city of Kiryat Shmona, pointing to a "growing sense of futility regarding the future of the northern border." This includes 28 settlements and Kiryat Shmona, all of which have been largely evacuated over the period of the ongoing battles. It said that the situation has left settlers "wondering when and under what conditions they will be able" to return to the colonial outposts.
After listing the current conditions experienced by Israelis on the Northern Front, the institute delved into the possibility of a comprehensive war with Lebanon's Hezbollah.
According to the report, Hezbollah has become the main military threat to the Israeli occupation since the Israeli 2006 war on Lebanon. The Resistance faction undertook a "dramatic buildup," in which it was able to secure a stockpile of "at least 150,000 missiles, rockets, and other lethal weapons."
It found that a war with Lebanon, that would drag on for months, can cause "severe damage to Israel."
