Hezbollah denounced the Israeli attack on the al-Musaylih-al-Najariya road in South Lebanon and called on the Lebanese government to adopt a firm position commensurate with the current level of challenges and threats.
The party stated that it considered this Israeli aggression to be part of a pattern of repeated and deliberate targeting of civilians and economic infrastructure, as well as an attempt to prevent people from returning to their normal lives. Hezbollah further affirmed that the persistent aggression against Lebanon, its people, and its sovereignty represents a clear expression of ongoing Israeli arrogance and criminality.
Hezbollah added that these actions are taking place with the full knowledge of the nations that guarantee the ceasefire agreement and its monitoring committee and are facilitated by a pervasive Arab and international silence, which, combined with complete American backing, emboldens the enemy to persist in its escalation.
It proceeded to call for national solidarity from all Lebanese people and for the state to take a firm stance that rises to the level of the current challenges and threats, emphasizing the importance of intensified diplomatic and political action, as well as sounding the alarm across all Arab and foreign circles.
The Lebanese Resistance called on the Lebanese authorities to submit a complaint to the United Nations Security Council to pressure "Israel" to halt its aggressions and violations against Lebanon.
Concluding its statement, Hezbollah praised the resilience of the people of South Lebanon, who are facing the Israeli aggression with steadfastness, affirming their right to live in their land with dignity.
'Israel' kills one, injures five in aggression on South Lebanon
Today, at dawn, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon reported that one person was killed and five others were wounded in the latest wave of Israeli airstrikes on the area between al-Musaylih and al-Najariya.
The Israeli raids specifically targeted excavation equipment and bulldozers, causing significant damage and disruption to the road linking the cities of Saida and Nabatieh.
Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri condemned the aggression, describing it as "an aggression against Lebanon and all its people," emphasizing that these strikes will not bend the Lebanese people's convictions and principles.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun strongly condemned the aggression as well, warning that the escalation raises serious concerns, while questioning the motive behind such aggression and suggesting that it could be politically motivated.
