Lebanon’s Hezbollah condemned failed assassination bid against Iraq's PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
In a statement, the resistance movement tersely denounced “the treacherous attack,” calling for "a careful and decisive investigation for the facts and circumstances surrounding the assassination attempt in order to unveil the perpetrators and their aim.”
Furthermore, Hezbollah urged “Iraqis to prevent sedition, maintain order, and solve their differences through dialogue, wisdom, and patience.”
Failed assassination attempt
The Iraqi prime minister's residence was attacked in the early hours of Sunday. Later, al-Kadhimi tweeted that he was fine.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for Sunday's attack, which left two bodyguards injured, according to a security source.
