Hezbollah issued a statement Tuesday marking the second anniversary of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, reaffirming its “unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause” and vowing to remain aligned with “the steadfast and resilient people of Palestine.”
Describing the October 7 operation as a “battle of sacrifice, liberation, will, and steadfastness,” the statement declared that Hezbollah “renews its pledge to stand with the Palestinian people who, through patience and perseverance mixed with tragedy and pain, have taught the world the highest lessons of pride and dignity in the face of the most criminal Israeli entity, supported by a brutal American administration.”
Hezbollah said that the confrontation, which began in 2023, “revealed from its very first moment the true face of the criminal Zionist entity, stripped of any human quality and backed by the arrogant American tyrant.”
The statement accused both the Israeli regime and Washington of “trampling every law, international resolution, and humanitarian consideration,” and of “violating the sovereignty of nations and massacring the people of Gaza through starvation and displacement.” Hezbollah added that the Israeli campaign “has laid bare its expansionist and aggressive schemes.”
“The security, stability, and future of the region depend on a unified Arab and Islamic stance, and on translating rejection of Israeli aggression into real action that deters the enemy,” the group said. “This entity understands only the language of force and confrontation.”
Call for arab and islamic unity
Hezbollah urged Arab and Muslim nations to overcome divisions and rally around the cause of resistance. “This entity is a dagger planted in the heart of the ummah and a malignant cancer that must be eradicated before it spreads destruction and ruin wherever it exists,” the statement read.
The group stressed that resistance remains the only path to liberation: “Supporting the resistance and adopting its path are the true guarantees for the dignity of our peoples and the defense of our sanctities.”
Hezbollah reaffirmed that it remains on the path of “the martyrs and leaders of resistance,” saying, “We in Hezbollah and our Islamic Resistance, following in the footsteps of the martyred Sayyed of the Ummah and our martyr leaders, will continue to safeguard the trust of resistance and the blood of the martyrs.”
The statement expressed “salutations of reverence and pride to all the righteous martyrs who ascended on the path to al-Quds, to the wounded, and to the prisoners who endure suffering for the sake of Palestine.”
Regional solidarity and divine promise
“Greetings to the free and steadfast people of Palestine, rooted in their land, who faced the Zionist killing machine with their bare chests,” the statement continued. “Greetings to the starving children of Gaza, the bereaved mothers, and the free hearts that still embrace hope for imminent relief.”
Hezbollah extended thanks to its allies and supporters, particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as well as to Yemen, Iraq, and all “free peoples of the world who raised the voice of Palestine high and carried the cries of Gaza’s children and women to the world.”
Concluding, Hezbollah stated that “this historic occasion will remain immortal, a testimony to a people who rose against an occupier, fought, sacrificed, and endured.” It added: “By God’s will, they will triumph, for they are worthy of victory, and Palestine will return fully to its people despite every conspirator, normalizer, and coward. This is a divine promise, and God never breaks His promise.”
Palestinian factions pay tribute to martyrs
Palestinian Resistance factions issued a unified statement reaffirming that resistance in all its forms remains "the only viable path to confront the Zionist occupation."
The factions pointed to "Israel's" political and military failures as evidence of Palestinian resilience. Despite sustained bombardment, the Resistance has maintained its internal cohesion, continued functions under siege, and negotiated prisoner exchanges that secured the release of hundreds of Palestinians from Israeli prisons.
The factions extended their greetings to all support fronts in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran, commending their "steadfast and principled positions." They saluted the martyrs of the resistance, foremost among them Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, commanders Mohammad Bagheri, Hossein Salami, Gholam Ali Rashid, and Mohammad Saeed Izadi, as well as all those "who have fallen on the fronts of confrontation and support."
Finally, the factions paid tribute to the leaders and planners of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, naming among them "the great commanders Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya al-Sinwar, and Mohammad al-Deif," along with "the long list of national figures and commanders from across the resistance factions whose heroism and sacrifices will be immortalized in history, written in letters of light."
