Hezbollah vows response to "Israel" killing civilians in South Lebanon
The head of Hezbollah's executive council says "Israel's" Wednesday aggression "cannot go unanswered".
The Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon that killed two children and their mother on Wednesday will not go unanswered and a response is inevitable, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council said.
“Today’s offensive against southern Lebanon, during which a number of civilians were martyred, cannot pass without a response. There will surely be a response and it will be of the required level,” Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din vowed.
The Israeli occupation launched on Wednesday a series of strikes targeting several villages and cities in southern Lebanon, Souaneh, Adshit, Chehabiyeh, and later at night the city of Nabatiyeh.
The large-scale aggression resulted in the martyrdom of 11 civilians, including at least 4 children and 3 women, and the wounding of others. Three of the martyrs were a mother and two of her children - aged 12 and 6 months - who were killed in a strike on their home in Souaneh, leading to its destruction.

Israeli attacks on civilian homes came after the Resistance carried out a significant operation on Wednesday morning, including a missile attack near the Israeli Northern Command headquarters in Safad, northern occupied Palestine. This marked the second strike against "Israel's" most vital military base in the North since October 2023.
Israeli media reported that at least 10 missiles were launched toward Israeli military bases and sites, killing an Israeli soldier and injuring 7 others.
Speaking at a ceremony honoring the wounded and detained members of the Resistance on Tuesday, Hezbollah's Secretary-General warned the Israelis from launching a war on Lebanon, reiterating that operations will halt if the war on Gaza stops.
"If the enemy carries out its threats against us, it must realize that the hundred thousand who left the North will not return," Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah vowed, emphasizing that Israeli Minister of Security Yoav Gallant "must realize that if he launches a war on us, then he will have two million displaced [settlers] from the North and not just a hundred thousand."
"The Resistance today is more certain, determined, and prepared to confront the [Israeli] enemy," the leader concluded.
