The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, issued a stern condemnation Thursday over recent threats made against Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The group described the remarks as "reckless" and warned that such provocations could lead to serious consequences.
In a strongly worded statement, Hezbollah emphasized that those behind the threats either fail to grasp or intentionally disregard the far-reaching spiritual and political stature of Sayyed Khamenei, both inside Iran and throughout the broader Islamic world.
"The mere utterance of such threats is an offense against hundreds of millions of believers and defenders of dignity, resistance, and Islamic authenticity," the statement said.
Hezbollah’s response comes amid a wider climate of tension following "Israel’s" ongoing wars on Gaza and Iran, rising hostility toward Iran from the US, and threats made against Sayyed Khamenei's life by "Israel" and the US. The movement noted that Sayyed Khamenei is a figure of central importance not only to Iranians but also to free people and Resistance movements worldwide.
Resistance groups vow solidarity with Iranian leadership
Reaffirming its commitment, Hezbollah declared full allegiance to Sayyed Khamenei and the Iranian people. It pledged to support Tehran in the face of the “Israeli-American aggression,” further underlining the unity among regional Resistance groups.
The group stated it would stand firmly alongside Iran’s leadership and people as part of a shared struggle rooted in principles of Resistance, dignity, and faith.
Hezbollah issued a clear warning to the United States, asserting that Washington’s continued support for Israeli military actions in Gaza, as well as efforts to threaten or undermine Iran, would trigger grave consequences.
"The United States will eventually realize it has plunged into a deep abyss," the statement read, cautioning that the current path of escalation would not end without significant cost.
Hezbollah declared confidence in the strength of popular and ideological support surrounding Sayyed Ali Khamenei, asserting that "The millions of free people rallying around the leadership of Imam Khamenei cannot be defeated."
"The tide of falsehood is doomed to fail, while the path of faith and resistance will ultimately triumph," it added, framing the confrontation as both moral and historical.
Trump threatens Sayyed Khamenei
The statement comes after US President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social account on Tuesday, "We know exactly where the so-called Supreme Leader is hiding. He’s an easy target, but he’s safe there. We are not planning to strike him, at least not right now.”
Trump then issued a threat, stating, “We do not want to fire missiles at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is running thin.” He ended his string of posts with a stark declaration: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
Sayyed Khamenei warned the United States on Wednesday against engaging militarily in support of the Israeli occupation’s war on Iran, threatening that such a move would "bring forth repercussions they could never mend."
"The Americans should know that any military intervention will have irreparable consequences for them," Sayyed Khamenei said, adding that "the US knows that intervention in Israeli aggression on Iran will leave them damaged far more than they could do to Iran."
He described US involvement as a clear indication of the Israeli occupation’s strategic weakness, saying, "The United States’ involvement in the aggression alongside the Israeli entity is an indication of the entity's weakness."
Sayyed Khamenei firmly stated that "the Americans must know that the Iranian people will not surrender or submit to dictates and threats," emphasizing Iran’s policy of reciprocal defense: "War will be met with war, bombardment with bombardment, strikes with strikes."
