Hundreds arrested in Peshawar, Pakistan over involvement in riots
The newspaper noted that among them 21 were arrested for allegedly attacking and setting fire to the Radio Pakistan office.
Over 800 Pakistanis were arrested in Peshawar under the pretext of alleged involvement in the May 9 riots, the Pakistani Dawn newspaper reported.

The newspaper didn't specify the total number of those arrested in Pakistan, only of those in the Peshawar region which totaled 807.

On May 10, about 1,000 people were been detained in Punjab for alleged involvement in the riots.
Back in early May, Khan was arrested by the Police following a hearing on the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The former Premier's detention followed months of political crisis and came hours after the powerful military criticized the former PM for accusing a senior officer of being involved in a plot to assassinate him.
Two days after which the Supreme Court of Pakistan ruled the arrest of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is unlawful and ordered his immediate release.
Following the arrest, cities across the country witnessed clashes between the police and supporters of Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party for hours.
