I wouldn't shake MBS' hand: Democratic lawmaker
US congressman Adam Schiff bashes US President for his decision to visit Saudi Arabia and meet with MBS.
Democratic US Congressman Adam Schiff said that Joe Biden should not meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his upcoming trip to the Middle East.
In a tweet, Schiff said: ‘The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia ordered the brutal murder of an American resident and journalist, Jamal Khashoggi”.

For that — and many other human rights violations — he should be shunned.
I would not meet with him or shake his hand.

“For that — and many other human rights violations — he should be shunned. I would not meet with him or shake his hand. President Biden shouldn’t either”, added Schiff, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee.
It is worth noting that Biden told reporters, on Friday, that there is a "possibility" that he will visit Saudi Arabia during his upcoming trip to the region.
A visit would almost certainly include a meeting with MBS, whom US intelligence believes was responsible for the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.
The reported decision came shortly after Saudi Arabia addressed two of Biden's priorities by agreeing to a production hike in oil - which could help tame rocketing US oil inflation.
This comes as clear evidence that the United States’ dependence on oil directly influences its foreign policy, turning a blind eye to human rights violations, and even court with US-sanctioned countries such as Venezuela, all to quench its thirst for oil.
