Injuries at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital treated in corridors: Spox
The spokesperson for the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital says Gaza urgently needs field hospitals for intensive care to save the lives of dozens of wounded individuals.
The spokesperson for the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Khalil al-Daqran, confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the depletion of fuel in the hospital threatens the lives of dozens of wounded individuals within it. He noted that some of the injured are being treated in the hospital's corridors, with a large number of them in critical condition.
Al-Daqran pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces continue to besiege several hospitals in Gaza, preventing the transfer of the wounded to them. He emphasized that there is no safe place in Gaza because the Israeli occupation is targeting everything in the Strip.
He also mentioned that Gaza urgently needs field hospitals for intensive care to save the lives of dozens of wounded individuals whose numbers are increasing due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Touching on the issue of medical supplies and aid that have reached Gaza, the spokesperson confirmed that they "do not meet the hospitals' needs for a single day," pointing out that "200 trucks daily of medical supplies are not sufficient for Gaza's hospitals."
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that Israeli occupation forces targeted the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in the northern part of the Strip, damaging several of its rooms.
It is noteworthy that the Indonesian Hospital has been under Israeli targeting for several consecutive days. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudra, emphasized that the hospital is subject to intense shelling, expressing concern for the lives of 200 wounded people and medical staff there.
Mounir al-Barsh, the Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza considered that what the Israeli occupation is committing against the Indonesian Hospital is a more heinous war crime than what it did in the al-Shifa Complex, revealing that occupation forces stormed the Indonesian Hospital with tanks and killed an injured woman. He also confirmed that Israeli forces injured three Palestinians and arrested three others.
Our correspondent in Gaza mentioned that the Israeli occupation continues its airstrikes on Jabalia camp, al-Hoja Street, and the area near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern part of the Strip. He added that an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in al-Nuseirat camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip and Israeli warships fired shells toward the beaches of the central area of Gaza.
The Government Media Office in Gaza reported on Thursday evening that the number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli aggression has reached more than 14,854, including more than 6,150 children and 4,000 women. According to the Office, the number of injuries rose to 36,000, with more than 75% of them being children and women.
