Israeli occupation forces announced on Wednesday the expansion of their "military operation" in Nablus, which included a raid on the Balata refugee camp east of the city, forcing several families to flee their homes.
Security and local sources reported that large Israeli army forces stormed multiple neighborhoods within the Balata camp, deployed snipers on rooftops, and sealed off all entrances, imposing a curfew on the camp.
The same sources indicated that occupation forces forced several families to leave their homes and exit the camp while also raiding numerous houses, searching and ransacking their contents, and arresting three individuals.
The occupation forces also assaulted a 15-year-old boy during their raid on the camp. Additionally, Israeli forces stormed the town of Deir Ibzi’, west of Ramallah, and demolished the home of martyr Mujahid Mansour, who carried out a shooting attack 13 months ago that resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier.

Israeli occupation forces also surrounded a house in the town of Shaqib al-Salam in the occupied al-Naqab, preparing for its demolition.
Israeli occupation forces conducted extensive raids across the occupied West Bank, targeting areas including Ramallah, Wadi Abu Katila, Halhul, Yatta, and Ras al-Joura in al-Khalil.
They also forced Palestinian citizen Alaa Alian to demolish his two-story home in Beit Safafa, south of occupied al-Quds, citing a lack of a permit.
Additionally, during their raid on the village of Husan, west of Beit Lahm, the forces detained and interrogated dozens of young men and children.
IOF assault triggers worst displacement in West Bank
The latest Israeli military operations has triggered the largest wave of displacement in the occupied West Bank since the 1967 Six-Day War, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) highlighted on April 5.
UNRWA said the widespread and ongoing Israeli assaults—beginning on January 21 in Jenin camp and other northern areas—constitute the longest continuous military campaign in the West Bank since the Second Intifada (uprising) in the early 2000s.
The agency described the situation in the northern West Bank as “extremely concerning", citing continued Israeli raids and mass detention campaigns. According to UNRWA, these operations have resulted in systematic destruction, forced displacement, and demolition orders targeting Palestinian families and refugee camps.
According to the United Nations, the Israeli operation has forcibly displaced over 40,000 people from refugee camps and surrounding communities in Jenin and Tulkarm.
