Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that the occupation's tanks have renewed their efforts to storm into Al-Shifa Medical Complex from the southern side.

Our correspondent reported that the occupation forces bulldozed the areas in the vicinity of the maternity section at Shifa Hospital, adding that IOF tanks have besieged the hospital and opened fire on anyone attempting to leave.

He also added that the IOF detained a number of medical workers and technical staff at the hospital.

The medical director at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Iyad Al-Jabari, told Al Mayadeen that the situation at Al-Shifa Hospital is disastrous.

Al-Jabari added that about 460 patients and injured people are receiving treatment at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, exceeding three times its capacity.

He also addressed the difficulty of meeting the hospital's needs for fuel: warning of an imminent catastrophe.

"We can no longer provide intensive care and treatment for some of the wounded whose injuries are critical," he warned.

Our correspondent had earlier reported that the hospital is under threat of closure due to the imminent depletion of fuel which would mean a major health disaster for Gaza.

Int. org. unable to deter war crimes

Last night, it was reported that Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Al-Shifa Medical Complex, however, their tanks remain positioned in its vicinity, the Director General of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Muhammad Abu Salmiya said.

Abu Salmiya confirmed, yet again, that Israeli occupation forces "did not find any military gear or weapons in the hospital," emphasizing that the Hospital's management does not allow weapons on its premises.

He pointed to the futility of the ongoing communications with international organizations, which were unable to deter the occupation from committing yet another war crime in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli media pointed out on Wednesday that the extensive Israeli propaganda following the Israeli occupation forces' incursion of the al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza was a disappointment for Israeli settlers who believed that "Israel" would eliminate the Hamas movement during the assault.

The media indicated that the leadership of Hamas remains cohesive even after the incursion of al-Shifa, and its fighters continue to launch rockets toward "Tel Aviv" and Gaza Envelope settlements.

It mentioned that Israeli occupation forces reached al-Shifa but the goal of the operation was not achieved, as the Israeli forces failed to capture Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar and Commander-in-Chief of al-Qassam Brigades Mohammad Deif.
