Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday carried out a major raid in the Palestinian town of al-Khader in the occupied West Bank, deploying in the Ard al-Deir area, sealing it off, and demolishing two homes.
According to Palestine Today, soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades to prevent residents from approaching the demolition site. No injuries were reported.
Ahmad Salah, head of al-Khader’s municipal council, said the Ard al-Deir area is under serious threat, with around 30 Palestinian homes facing demolition or stop-work orders, despite being the town’s only area available for urban expansion.
Figures by the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission show that in August alone, Israeli authorities carried out 57 demolitions that affected 125 Palestinian structures. These included 39 inhabited homes, 52 agricultural facilities, and 20 sources of livelihood.
Separately, an Israeli special forces unit stormed Balata refugee camp east of Nablus early Wednesday.

The raid on Kafr Qalil began around 1:00 am, as occupation vehicles stormed the Palestinian village from several directions. Homes were violently searched, and a Palestinian was assaulted, sustaining bruises that required hospitalization.
