IOF kill one Palestinian, arrest another injured in Sebastia
The slain Palestinian youth is 18-year-old Fawzi Hani Fawzi Makhalfa who was targeted with several bullets, one straight to the head.
A Palestinian youth was killed and another was arrested while injured at the hands of Israeli occupation forces who opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle in the town of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, on Saturday eve.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Rafidia Governmental Hospital received the body of martyr Fawzi Hani Fawzi Makhalfa, 18, from Sebastia.
Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle with two passengers inside, killing one and arresting another who sustained injuries, but his condition remains unknown.
The IOF prevented the ambulance crews from getting to the scene before the Red Crescent later confirmed that a Palestinian youth was killed by Israeli occupation gunfire.
The Red Crescent reported that it had received the body of the martyr who is from Sebastia, and he was taken to the hospital, while another injured young man was arrested at the scene.
"The martyr was hit by several bullets, one straight to the head," said Ahmed Jibril, director of the emergency and first aid center of the Red Crescent in Nablus, confirming that "the occupation fired more than 40 bullets at the vehicle in Sebastia."
On Friday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the martyrdom of 17-year-old Mohammad al-Bayed from Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, who succumbed to critical head injuries that he sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation gunfire, in Umm Safa, northwest Ramallah.
Palestinian Resistance factions mourned Al-Bayed, underlining that the Israeli occupation's brutal crimes against the Palestinian people will not undermine their determination and the valor of the Resistance fighters to continue the path toward freedom and liberation.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that an Israeli soldier was wounded after an Israeli occupation force was targeted with an improvised explosive device at the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, north of occupied Al-Khalil.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinians participating in the funeral of a citizen in Beit Ummar, and Resistance fighters responded by opening fire and throwing a homemade explosive device, injuring one soldier.
The state-run Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported that a Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli occupation gunfire, while dozens of others suffocated as a result of the assault.
Social media users circulated footage of the moment occupation ambulances arrived at the area to transfer the injured soldier.
