On its part, Palestinian Resistance factions mourned Al-Bayed, underlining that the Israeli occupation's brutal crimes against the Palestinian people will not undermine their determination and the valor of the Resistance fighters to continue the path toward freedom and liberation.
Earlier today, Israeli media reported that an Israeli soldier was wounded after an Israeli occupation force was targeted with an improvised explosive device at the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, north of occupied Al-Khalil.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinians participating in the funeral of a citizen in Beit Ummar, and Resistance fighters responded by opening fire and throwing a homemade explosive device, injuring one soldier.
The state-run Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported that a Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli occupation gunfire, while dozens of others suffocated as a result of the assault.
Social media users circulated footage of the moment occupation ambulances arrived in the area to transfer the injured soldier.
