An Israeli soldier was wounded on Friday after an Israeli occupation force was targeted with an improvised explosive device at the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, north of occupied Al-Khalil, Israeli media reported.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinians participating in the funeral of a citizen in Beit Ummar, and Resistance fighters responded by opening fire and throwing a homemade explosive device, injuring one soldier.

The state-run Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that a Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli occupation gunfire, while dozens of others suffocated as a result of the assault.

Social media users circulated footage of the moment occupation ambulances arrived in the area to transfer the injured soldier.

Israeli raids escalate in West Bank amid new settlement plans

Renewed clashes between Palestinians and IOF in West Bank

On Thursday, an illegal Israeli settler was seriously injured in a stabbing operation in the illegal settlement of "Gilo", south of occupied Al-Quds.

In a related context, the Palestine Information Center recorded about 195 acts of resistance in the West Bank and Al-Quds between 14 and 20 July, in which nine Israelis were injured, while two Palestinians were martyred.

The center documented 15 shooting operations, one ramming operation, and the detonation of five explosive devices, in different areas of the occupied West Bank.

According to the center, Palestinian youths set on fire two occupation military installations and vehicles destroyed four vehicles as well as military equipment, and threw three Molotov cocktails and firecrackers at Israeli occupation forces.

In addition, the center noted that Palestinian youth responded to 28 attacks by illegal Israeli settlers in separate areas in the West Bank and Al-Qudds.

Elsewhere, the Palestine Information Center reported that confrontations between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces erupted in 74 sites, during which 60 stone-throwing operations took place, and four demonstrations were staged condemning the occupation and settlement expansion.
